Higher altitude and diverse soils in Juliénas bring exotic notes less common in other Beaujolais crus. Mint, lily, and peppercorn on the nose lead to a juicy palate of plum, papaya, rosehip, and clove. The finish is long and complex with beautifully woven threads of apple skin, peach pit, and a hint of cinnamon.
