Drawn from 50+ year old vines in the Grand Cru villages of Avize and Cramant, Minéral is one of Pascal Agrapart’s most incisive wines—an Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs that lets chalky soils do the talking. The 2018 vintage, while ripe, is shaped by restraint: no dosage masking the structure, no oak to round the edges—just purity, line, and lift.

Fermented with native yeasts in old barrels, aged extensively on lees, and disgorged with minimal intervention, Minéral is more about tone than texture. Think white citrus, crushed shell, and salted almonds—tension over flash, length over volume. It finishes cool, clean, and unwaveringly dry.

"This must be one of the most beguiling and refined 2018s from the Côte des Blancs, managing to retain a tensile, nuanced and detailed complexity in a year that can sometimes be a bit simple. From some of the estate’s chalkiest, shallowest soils, Minéral impresses by setting white peach, bitter almond and dried flowers in a lithe, persistent frame full of leapfrogging details of slate, umami savour and apricot kernel richness, dancing over a long, detailed finish. Terrific."
