She took over the family estate from her father in 2014, the first woman to run it in a line that goes back centuries, and immediately tightened the farming, keeping the cover crops between rows her father pioneered in Varrains in 1991, farming sustainably and hand harvesting in two passes so only ripe fruit comes in.
