Domaine de la Côte sits seven miles from the Pacific on the western edge of Sta. Rita Hills, where partners Raj Parr and Sashi Moorman craft site-specific Pinot Noir. This "La Côte" bottling blends fruit from their collection of five vineyards across 40 acres. The 2023 comes from Bloom's Field Vineyard, planted to Calera, Swan and Mount Eden clones on iron-rich topsoil over shale bedrock with southwest exposure.

Domaine de la Cote is a small production California winery focusing on Estate wines founded by Rajat Parr, the wine director for Michael Mina Restaurants, and esteemed winemaker Sashi Moorman. The winery represents this dynamic duo’s belief that great wines are a collaboration between man, earth, and vine.

The Domaine de la Cote property sits upon a south facing slope in the Sta Rita Hills that they operate with single minded focus of producing California’s greatest Pinot Noir. The four vineyards on this tiny 60 acre property: Memorious, Bloom’s Field, la Côte, and Siren’s Call, have unique geology, aspect, elevation and microclimate. Such distinct expressions of site in such close proximity is unparalleled in California.

Professional Reviews

Robert Parker

RP 97
"The most filled-in and concentrated wine on the roster, the 2023 Pinot Noir La Côte shows its perennially high-toned, lifted aromatics that contrast its twisted, sinewy, seamless and lacy texture. The finish is weightless yet punchy and extravagant, concluding with beautiful purity and stunning length. This is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding wines Domaine de la Côte has produced, and I am eager to revisit it after its bottling." -Matthew Luczy

WS 96
"Thyme, sage and savory notes spike a core of intense griotte fruit, while flashes of pomegranate, damson plum and blood orange work their way in as well. The long, mouthwatering finish has a terrific chiseled feel, with a wet flint note as its energy source. Best from 2026 through 2040."
