Professional Reviews

Antonio Galloni

AG 96
"The 2022 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has an almost clinical bouquet with more penetration than the Criots served alongside. The medium-bodied palate has fine tension, but there is a real delicacy about this Bâtard with a very persistent, controlled finish and hints of white peach on the aftertaste. Wonderful." -Vinous

Jancis Robinson

JR 18.5
"More smoky reduction on the nose and more obvious weight and power than the Blain-Gagnard Criots. A delicious grand cru with reserves of power, concentration and notes of intense, low-yielding fruit. Savoury and mineral, stony character to finish. Notable and memorable. Has a long future ahead. Classic top-tier white burgundy."

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
