Rotsbank (Afrikaans for “bank of rocks”) joins Eben Sadie’s Old Vine Series as a site-specific Chenin Blanc, sourced from dry-farmed bush vines on red, iron-rich gravel soils in the Malmesbury zone of the Swartland. These unique soils bring a darker, more structured profile to Chenin, compared to the more linear energy of Skurfberg or Mev. Kirsten. Drink now for its nervy energy, or age it 5–10 years to watch the mineral depth unfold.
