Subtle but discernible wood blends with ripe yet cool aromas of overtly floral lemon-lime, quinine and oyster shell .The sleek, intense and powerful big-bodied flavors manage to retain a highly appealing refinement along with plenty of minerality that seems to build from the mid-palate to the bitter lemon-suffused finale where the oak evidenced by the nose reappears. This isn't as refined as it typically is, and it could use better depth, yet there is sufficient structure and balance to allow this to age well for years. 93 -AM

"Currently showing a bit more oak, this has plenty of weight on the palate. A little more heft than this producer’s Les Preuses, but likely to be more popular. Impressive but, for me, not their top 2020. Sappy on the palate, casks were used here for fermentation and malolactic."

Focus On: Burgundy

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
