"This non-vintage Les Vignes de Montgueux Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut is based on the vintages 2011 (52%), 2012 and 2010. Fermented in stainless steel, aged for one year in 228-liter barrels (malolactic fermentation included) and disgorged in December 2014 with no dosage, it delivers a complex and spicy bouquet with lovely oaky flavors. Dry and very mineral on the palate, this is a full-bodied, fine and refreshing Champagne with a long and complex, very expressive finish. An excellent Champagne from the Côte de Bar that is not marketed as Brut Nature because Emmanuel Lassaigne would find this labeling 'too popular.'" -Robert Parker

"This well-meshed version shows a savory tang of saline and firm acidity, with flavors of ripe apricot, graphite, honeysuckle and biscuit. Creamy, with a minerally finish."

Champagne
Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
