His own historic holding is in the Abbaye de Morgeot premier cru in Chassagne-Montrachet, and he set up the négoce to reach beyond it. For whites he looks to top sites in Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault and to Corton-Charlemagne; for reds, to Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée and Échezeaux.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eProduction is deliberately limited to a few thousand bottles a year, and the aim is finesse and a clear sense of each climat rather than a heavy house stamp.
