Sarget is the second wine, named for a family who owned part of the estate before selling to the Cordiers in 1917. The 2020 vintage saw Saint-Julien emerge as one of the left bank's most successful appellations—the slightly higher clay content helped vines manage drought stress better than pure gravel sites. This blend (48% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc) ages 14 months with 15% new oak.
