Quintessential Sancerre blanc from one of the Appellation's leading families. Classic aromas citrus zest and gunflint, with flavors moving from lemon, to pear to sea salt and stone. It's a classic, of course, with the local goat's cheese, but delicious with everything from soup and salad on up to chicken and fish dishes.
The wine, from both flinty and chalky terroirs, is a stunning introduction to just how great Sauvignon Blanc is when it's made in the right place, by the right people, doing the right things.
Although nobody touts Vacheron as a "Natural" producer, there's nothing unnatural about them. Vacheron has been farming biodynamically for more nearly two decades, and is certified both organic and biodynamic. Fermentation is on indigenous yeasts.
