By popular demand, we're going deep with one of the most fascinating wine regions in the world. The Canary Islands boast unique local varieties, impossibly old vines and challenging landscapes, mineral-laced volcanic flavor and structure, and some of the most compelling people in the wine industry. We'll explore five examples from Tenerife, Lanzarote and beyond, and consider the impact we as consumers can have on the rare and fragile environment of these heavily touristed regions.
Taught by Flatiron's own Julia Burke, DWSET, this class will begin at 6:00pm on Monday, September 11 and run for approximately 90 minutes as we taste five wines. Wines discussed in class will be available for purchase with a discount available to attendees only. Seating is limited.
