Many folks only think of Sherry as something a snooty dandy would sip on before dinner, or as a sickly-sweet cooking agent. Not at all! There is something delightfully transportive, entrancing, and just plain wonderful about this typically dry, savory, fortified wine from Spain. Its versatility makes it great for an aperitif, to add to cocktail creations, and even to pair with dinner. Flatiron team member and Wine Minx® Annie Edgerton, DWSET, CS, is determined to shine a glorious light on Sherry and turn any skeptics into passionate believers.

Even Sherry aficionados may be surprised at the fascinating history of this wine, its varied styles and production methods, and how producers are continuing to evolve the category, bringing a classic wine into the modern age. Among her numerous certifications, Annie is also a Certified Sherry Wine Specialist, so she is chomping at the bit to share this amazing category with you, along with five Sherries that will absolutely make the argument for it becoming your New Favorite Wine.

This class will begin at 6:00pm on Tuesday, October 3 and run for approximately 90 minutes as we taste five wines. Wines discussed in class will be available for purchase with a discount available to attendees only. Seating is limited.
