She is the sixth generation of the family whose great-uncle Noël Verset made this appellation's reputation, and she works the granite terraces organically with cover crops between the rows, ferments whole-cluster with native yeasts, and raises the wine about 22 months in mostly neutral barrels — six to eight months longer than her regular Cornas — before bottling it unfined and unfiltered. 2020 was warm and dry, but deep winter water reserves carried the vines through, giving concentration and depth without any sense of heat or heaviness.
