Daughter Maria Teresa took over in 2005 and makes the wine exactly as her father did. The 2010 is one of Piedmont's great modern vintages, marrying power with precision, and fifteen years on it's just stepping into its long peak: tar, dried rose, sour cherry, leather, dried orange peel, anise and forest floor over taut, still-firm tannins.
