The base is wine, fortified and infused with a long list of botanicals - wormwood, gentian, bitter orange peel, rhubarb, cardamom, mint, cinnamon - and it lands sweet up front and genuinely bitter at the finish, with far more herbal snap than the supermarket bottles. Pour it over ice with an orange twist and you are done, or build it into a Negroni or an Americano, where it actually holds its own against the gin. It comes in a liter, which is the correct size for a house vermouth.
