The house was founded in 1998 by Joaquin Rivero, who rebuilt his family's 17th-century sherry firm by acquiring old soleras from houses like Domecq, Osborne and Sandeman; everything is bottled by hand, without chill filtration. Production is tiny, around 3,000 bottles a year.
