{"product_id":"castel-pujol-folklore-naranja-2026","title":"Castel Pujol, Folklore Naranja, 2026","description":"Three months on the skins, and not the grape you'd expect: this is Trebbiano macerated together with Petit Manseng skins, fermented on native yeasts and bottled with next to nothing added. Uruguay is still shorthand for Tannat, so a serious skin-contact white from the far north comes as a surprise — the vines sit at Cerro Chapeu in Rivera, right up on the Brazilian border, at 250 metres, in deep reddish iron-rich sediments of volcanic alluvial origin with the big day-night temperature swings of a continental climate. The Carrau family have been at this a while: ten-plus generations, begun in Catalonia in 1752 and running in Uruguay since 1930, and it was Quico Carrau Pujol who went looking for this site in 1973, working with UC Davis to find somewhere sandy and suitable enough to plant Uruguay's first virus-free vines. Grapes come in by hand in small crates, and the wine goes into bottle with minimal handling. The Margay cat on the label is a painting by the Uruguayan artist Nicolás Sánchez, \"Alfalfa\" — a nice bit of design on a bottle that doesn't need the help, but earns the attention anyway.","brand":"Wine for the World [WFW]","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46495169183801,"sku":"NYC-W-WFW-`WD2442`-091326-6","price":23.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/Castel-Pujol-Folklore-Naranja-2026-Orange-Wine-Flatiron-Wines-Spirits-New-York.jpg?v=1789569630","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/castel-pujol-folklore-naranja-2026","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
