{"product_id":"chateau-cantemerle-les-allees-de-cantemerle-haut-medoc-2020","title":"Chateau Cantemerle, Les Allees de Cantemerle Haut-Medoc, 2020","description":"Les Allées de Cantemerle is a dry red Haut-Médoc from Château Cantemerle, a house whose case starts in the ground. The estate sits at the southern tip of the Médoc peninsula, and its 98 hectares of vines grow on deep silica-gravel from the Quaternary era. Those rolled stones were carried down from the Pyrenees by the Garonne over thousands of years. The soil is poor and the vines have to struggle for it, which is exactly why Cantemerle's grapes come in so concentrated. The vines are planted tight, at 8,300 per hectare, and the vineyard has stayed in one block around the château since the 1855 Classification. That kind of continuity is rare in a region where estates have been bought, sold and pieced back together for 170 years. Nearly half of the 200-hectare property is kept as woodland, parkland and meadow (it's a place that hasn't been paved over for vines). If you like your Left Bank red classic and gravel-grown without the fuss, this 2020 is worth getting to know.","brand":"Barriere Freres [MHW] [BRRFR]","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50930257002553,"sku":"NYC-W-BRRFR-`BAF107621-20`-102326-11","price":25.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/IMG-5328.jpg?v=1793043369","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/chateau-cantemerle-les-allees-de-cantemerle-haut-medoc-2020","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
