The 2016 growing season gave the team a mild spring for even development and then a dry summer with moderate temperatures, letting them pick parcel by parcel from September 26th to October 20th. In the cellar it's optical and manual sorting, fermentation in concrete and stainless steel, a long 35-day maceration at 28°C, then 17 months in French oak, half of it new — classicism, not cosmetics. The Albada Jelgersma family owns it, Alexander van Beek manages it, and the property is run as a single ecosystem of forest, springs, meadow, grazing land, hedgerows and biological corridors.
