{"product_id":"chateau-gloria-saint-julien-2020","title":"Chateau Gloria, Saint-Julien, 2020","description":"A wine that drinks like a classified growth because it's built from them. Henri Martin registered the Gloria name in 1942, picturing a choir of many vineyard voices singing as one wine. He then spent his life buying parcels from nine classified growths in Saint-Julien and Pauillac, and by 1955 the estate drew on eight of them, four ranked as second growths in 1855. Nobody was ever going to rewrite the 1855 list to include it, so Martin took to toasting Gloria as \"the most classified estate in Saint-Julien\" (we like a man who handles a technicality with a glass in his hand). Today it's the appellation's largest unclassified estate, about 50 hectares of hand-picked Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It's still run by Martin's daughter Françoise, son-in-law Jean-Louis Triaud and grandchildren Vanessa and Jean, alongside their classified Château Saint-Pierre. If you care more about what's in the glass than about a list drawn up in 1855, this is the smart way into serious Saint-Julien.","brand":"Barriere Freres [MHW] [BRRFR]","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50930256052281,"sku":"NYC-W-BRRFR-`BAF107534-20`-102326-7","price":57.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/IMG-5329_7af9412c-d6c2-49c9-9743-dbc277f7918f.jpg?v=1793043308","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/chateau-gloria-saint-julien-2020","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
