{"product_id":"chateau-gloria-st-julien-2005","title":"Chateau Gloria, St. Julien, 2005","description":"Château Gloria is built mainly from pieces of classified-growth vineyards, but it carries no classification itself. Its home, Saint-Julien, is the smallest of the Médoc's major appellations and has the highest concentration of 1855 classified growths. Henri Martin registered the Gloria name in 1942 and put the estate together parcel by parcel. That same year he made his first major purchase: six hectares from Château Duhart-Milon. He picked the name because he pictured a choir, with many vineyard voices singing as one wine. Today Gloria is the largest unclassified estate in Saint-Julien, and it has outperformed plenty of classified growths along the way. That makes it the smart pick for anyone who cares more about what's in the glass than what's on the 1855 list. Martin's daughter Françoise and son-in-law Jean-Louis Triaud keep his approach going, and this 2005 is a dry red from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. (A bit of trivia: a 1976 magazine story called \"The Miracle of Château Gloria\" set off a rush for these wines in America.)","brand":"Acker Merrall \u0026 Condit [AC]","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50630726647865,"sku":"NYC-A-OREGON1026-100226-13-3","price":89.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/Chateau-Gloria-St_-Julien-2005-Red-Wine-Flatiron-Wines-Spirits-New-York.jpg?v=1791018194","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/chateau-gloria-st-julien-2005","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
