{"product_id":"chateau-guiraud-sauternes-1988-acell-pepe-pvt","title":"Chateau Guiraud, Sauternes, 1988","description":"This is a 1988 Sauternes from one of the estates ranked Premier Cru Classé in 1855, so you get a First Growth sweet wine that has spent more than three decades in bottle. Guiraud has always done things its own way. The family who bought the estate in 1766 were Protestant, republican merchants living in a Catholic, royalist stronghold. The house still stands apart for its love of Sauvignon Blanc, which makes up about 35% of the blend today alongside Semillon. That's an unusually large share for Sauternes. The vines grow on gravel, sand and clay, with forest all around. The organic farming Guiraud is known for now came later (it began in 1996 and was certified in 2011), so this bottle shows the estate before that chapter. Save it for the end of a long dinner with people who'll enjoy the vintage as much as the wine.","brand":"Acker Merrall \u0026 Condit [AC]","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50820834852921,"sku":"NYC-[PVT]-PVT-ACELL-PEPE-101626-CGS1988-ROW34-BOX 13","price":119.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/chateau-guiraud-sauternes-1988-acell-pepe-pvt","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
