Château la Grolet is located just a few kilometers outside of Bordeaux proper, among rolling green hills, where they biodynamically farm Merlot, Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc and a bit of Malbec. The wine is plummy (but not jammy), with flavors of blackberries, cassis, spice, and tobacco. It's a pleasure to drink on its own or with any French-inflected dish.
