The 37-hectare vineyard is planted mostly to Merlot, with Cabernet Franc and a little Cabernet Sauvignon, on limestone, chalk and clay - and some Merlot vines push nearly a century old. The 2010 was a great Bordeaux vintage of power and structure, so this should be drinking beautifully now while still holding plenty in reserve. Polished, generous, and far more affordable than its Pomerol neighbors.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0125/1518/0601/files/Chateau-la-Vieille-Cure-Fronsac-2010-Red-Wine-Flatiron-Wines-Spirits-New-York.jpg?v=1779374979
