Ducasse handed over in 2007 to Bruno Eynard, with Matthieu Bordes succeeding as technical director in 2013, but 2005 falls squarely in the Ducasse era, and it sits at the top of his run here. The vintage itself is one of the great modern Bordeaux harvests, a perfect growing season that produced wines of structure, depth, and remarkable longevity.
