{"product_id":"chateau-langoa-barton-saint-julien-2000","title":"Chateau Langoa-Barton, Saint Julien, 2000","description":"Every bottle of Léoville Barton is made in Langoa Barton's cellar, so this Third Growth is the house its more famous sibling actually lives in. Langoa is the 3rd Growth sister estate to Léoville Barton. The Barton family has farmed both for two centuries, and the same hands make both wines under one roof. It started with a building: in 1821 Hugh Barton, grandson of the Irishman Thomas Barton who settled in Bordeaux in 1722, bought the elegant 1758 château because he loved its architecture. When he added the Léoville vineyards in 1826, he didn't bother buying a winery, since he already had one. The vines sit on slopes of quaternary gravel overlooking the Gironde, and the family still owns the place: Lilian Barton and her children are the tenth generation in Bordeaux. Léoville gets the spotlight, but Langoa gives you the same pedigree with a fraction of the fuss. This 2000 is a chance to open an older vintage from an 1855 classified growth still owned by the family that bought it.","brand":"Private","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50673992040505,"sku":"NYC-[PVT]-PCSOCTOB1026-100626-7-5","price":149.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/IMG-4925.jpg?v=1791581799","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/chateau-langoa-barton-saint-julien-2000","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
