{"product_id":"chateau-meyney-saint-estephe-2016","title":"Chateau Meyney, Saint-Estephe, 2016","description":"Château Meyney sits in Saint-Estèphe between Château Montrose and Château Calon Ségur and is known as \"the one forgotten by the 1855 classification.\" That's good news if you want serious Saint-Estèphe without paying classified-growth prices. The estate is a single 51-hectare block on a gravel rise that slopes down toward the Gironde estuary. Under the gravel is a deep clay-limestone base that holds water for the vines in dry years. There is also a 3-metre vein of blue clay, which is rare in the Médoc. The estate credits it with Meyney's velvety texture and says Merlot grows as well there as on Pomerol's greatest sites. Vines grew here before 1625, on land first brought to light by the Feuillant monks, whose convent once stood on the property. Today winemaker Anne Le Naour farms the vineyard sustainably, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot vines averaging 38 years old. Anyone who suspects the 1855 list isn't the last word on the Médoc will find good evidence here.","brand":"Duclot La Vinicole [DUC]","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51053814513721,"sku":"NYC-W-DUC-`1116627-B06`-110326-1","price":69.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/Chateau-Meyney-Saint-Estephe-2016-Red-Wine-Flatiron-Wines-Spirits-New-York.jpg?v=1793782964","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/chateau-meyney-saint-estephe-2016","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
