The 2016 is a classic left-bank blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon, filled out with Merlot plus a little Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, aged 18 months in French oak. 2016 was a benchmark Pauillac vintage, giving wines with ripe fruit, fresh acidity, and firm but polished tannins built for the long haul. It's drinking nicely now with a decant, but there's no rush, this will reward another decade-plus in the cellar.
