Pale red in color with flavors of spiced cherry and a little bit of graphite and cedar. Could be glou glou except the structure is a touch too powerful, the finish is a bit too long.
Chiussuma is an exciting new presence in Carema. This trio (a husband and wife team of Rudy and Alessandra, with Matteo as the third) works a scattered patchwork of isolated plots, vinifying each separately and blending at the end. Remarkably, each of the trio holds down full time jobs outside of the vineyard; this is a passion project and a labor of love.
