Claude Courtil (nephew and godson of the late Henri Bonneau, no less, who taught him much of what he knows) ran the estate from 1969; his sons David and Jérôme took over in 2015. 2007 was one of the great Châteauneuf vintages of the modern era—rich, ripe, structured—and the blend that year was roughly 68% Grenache with Mourvèdre, Syrah, and a touch of Cinsault, aged in old foudres in the traditional manner.
