She took the estate over from her father in 2014 and has spent the years since improving the farming and taking her hands off the winemaking: cover crops, hand harvesting, plot-by-plot vinification, ageing in tank so the fruit stays bright. Her neighbors in Varrains are the most famous names in Saumur, and her prices have not caught up.
