{"product_id":"darenberg-the-coppermine-road-cabernet-sauvignon-2001","title":"D'Arenberg, The Coppermine Road Cabernet Sauvignon, 2001","description":"This is d'Arenberg's Coppermine Road Cabernet with more than two decades in bottle. Most of us never have the patience to wait that long, so here's a rare chance to see where serious Australian Cabernet ends up. d'Arenberg named the wine after Coppermine Road, which runs alongside d'Arenberg's best Cabernet vineyard. The fruit comes mostly from a near-extinct, unnamed clone of Cabernet Sauvignon. Its berries are tiny and fruit set is poor, so it gives no more than a tonne per acre. The marly limestone under the vines holds back their vigour. That clone also keeps its acidity longer than most, so the grapes can hang on the vine and build flavour without losing freshness, and that kind of backbone is what lets a red go the distance. For anyone curious about how Australian Cabernet ages, this is a lot more fun than reading about it. As with any red this old, stand the bottle upright for a day and decant it gently.","brand":"Private","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50524952035385,"sku":"NYC-[CNSN]-TTSUMMER0826-092226-43-5","price":59.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/DArenberg-The-Coppermine-Road-Cabernet-Sauvignon-2001-Red-Wine-Flatiron-Wines-Spirits-New-York.jpg?v=1790154121","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/darenberg-the-coppermine-road-cabernet-sauvignon-2001","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
