The soil is the place to start, which suits an estate founded in 1953 by Roger Martin, a geologist. The Trousseau grows on red marl shot through with a few veins of blue marl, just outside Arbois. The Martins have farmed the whole domaine biodynamically since 2009, and the 2025 was picked by hand on September 7, cropped at 30 hl\/ha and left on its skins for 18 days. The result is a red with real personality and a light touch, not a heavyweight.
