You get the same team and the same commitment to Gamay without reaching for the flagship. The estate was founded in 2019 and is run by Frédéric Jametton and Guillaume Rouget. They work from the hamlet of Vernus in Régnié-Durette, on high ground looking out over Mont Brouilly. They make only red wine, all of it from Gamay and mostly from the crus, and they describe their farming as healthy and sustainable. To give you a sense of the raw material, the Fleurie comes from three granite plots: deep, heavily weathered granite on Grand Pré and shallow granite on Vers le Mont and La Levrattière.
