Village Meursault is where a domaine's farming shows most plainly, and the Baronne answers with presence and mineral drive rather than easy richness. The estate has been fully biodynamic since 1998, early for Burgundy, and is now in the hands of Léa and Pierre Lafon, the fifth generation, after Dominique stepped back at the end of 2021. 2023 was a vintage of balance on the Côte de Beaune, with picking starting at the end of August and whites where acidity, fruit and alcohol landed in harmony.
