That is no accident: Antoine Foucault is Charly Foucault's son, and he has spent two decades making the case that Cabernet Franc from this dirt is worth taking as seriously as anything from Burgundy or Bordeaux. Organic farming, native ferments, slow aging in old barrels, almost no sulfur, nothing done for speed. The warm, dry 2022 vintage brought ripeness and concentration, but the cool limestone keeps the wine lifted rather than heavy.
