This Savagnin is sourced from two parcels: “Au Barby” and “Grand Curoulet”, both of which are considered to have great terroir due to their rich, old Jurassic marl soils and “Terre de Gryphées”.
Guillaume d'Angerville is one of Burgundy's most esteemed winemakers, but a bottle of Stéphane Tissot’s Arbois Chardonnay inspired him to invest in the Jura, where he bought several parcels of land, including vines previously farmed by Puffeney. This non-oxidative Savagnin is topped with notes of sundried herbs, waxy yellow fruit, and hay, as well as a long, elegant, and saline mineral finish.
