Brézé is a historic limestone-rich hill in Saumur, known for producing white wines of remarkable finesse and longevity. Romain Guiberteau, a student of Clos Rougeard’s Nady Foucault, farms the site organically and vinifies with a light touch—allowing the Chenin Blanc to express its full mineral, citrus, and saline potential.

In the 2021 vintage, the wine is taut and crystalline: opening with aromas of lemon zest, green apple, chalk dust, and white flowers, and unfolding into a palate of high tension and fine-grained texture. There’s zero flash—just clarity, line, and a finish that echoes with salty precision. Aged in older barrels, there’s no oak flavor, only structure and breath.

This is a white wine that rewards time—in the glass, in the cellar, and in your attention. Pair with shellfish, fine cheeses, or simply drink it slowly and let it reveal itself.
