"The highly spiced and expressive nose is now almost entirely secondary in character though notes of plum, red currant and various dark berries are in evidence as well. There is fine concentration to the extract-rich and seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that exude a fine minerality on the powerful, intense and impressively persistent finish. For my taste this is still on the way up though it's not so far away from its peak drinkability that it could not be enjoyed now. Note that once it is fully mature it should be capable of holding for at least another 10 to 15 years."

"Sweet cherries, minerals, and earth can be found in the aromatics of the 1999 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses. This is a lush, gorgeously sexy, pure, and precise wine. Juicy layers of raspberries, cherries, and spicy strawberries can be found throughout its velvety-textured personality and in its admirably long, supple finish." -Robert Parker

Focus On: Burgundy

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
