{"product_id":"donnhoff-felsenberg-felsenturmchen-riesling-spatlese-2007","title":"Donnhoff, Felsenberg Felsenturmchen Riesling Spätlese, 2007","description":"A lightly sweet Riesling grown on volcanic rock, with the better part of two decades in bottle, and from a vintage that gave it the acidity to last that long. Felsentürmchen means \"small rock tower.\" The grapes come from the steep parcels around that outcrop in the middle of the Schlossböckelheimer Felsenberg, and the little tower is the symbol you'll find on Dönnhoff's Felsenberg labels. The soil is red volcanic hard rock, porphyry and melaphyr, which gives the wine its smoky minerality. Cornelius Dönnhoff calls it one of the hardest vineyards to work: it's so steep there's nothing to hold you up but the rocks. In Germany, 2007 opened with a hot April and record-early flowering, then a cool summer slowed things down and a long, fine autumn finished the ripening. That left the Prädikat wines with real acidity under their sweetness. In an off-dry Spätlese, that acidity is what carries the wine through years in the cellar, and it's why a mature Dönnhoff like this one is such a pleasure to open now. Serve chilled.","brand":"Private","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50525000269881,"sku":"NYC-[CNSN]-TTSUMMER0826-092226-233-25","price":59.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/Donnhoff-Felsenberg-Felsenturmchen-Riesling-Spatlese-2007-White-Wine-Flatiron-Wines-Spirits-New-York.jpg?v=1790154882","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/donnhoff-felsenberg-felsenturmchen-riesling-spatlese-2007","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
