Faiveley is an Iconic Domaine in the best sense of the term. They have both history and pedigree (almost 200 years and 7 generations old), but also innovation as current managers Erwan and Eve Faiveley look to the future.
"The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses bursts form the glass with a complex bouquet of wild berries, cherries, peony, cinnamon and smoke. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, lively and fine-boned, with powdery and refined structuring tannins, lively acids and a fragrant core of fruit. I'd rank Domaine Faively's Chambolle-Musigny premiers crus above this négociant cuvée, despite the pedigree of the site, but it is a pretty wine in the making." -William Kelley
