{"product_id":"favonius-lisboa-curtimenta-2025","title":"Favonius, Lisboa Curtimenta, 2025","description":"A skin-contact white from the Atlantic edge of Portugal, made by people who clearly don't want orange wine to be a dare. Curtimenta is simply the Portuguese word for skin contact, and Favonius — the Roman name for the west wind that hammers this coast and shapes the fruit — was started in 2021 by Rodrigo Martins and Pedro Cabanita, farming organically around Bombarral on clay and sand, just inland from the Nazaré surf coast. Fernão Pires is the backbone for its aromatic lift, with Arinto for vibrancy, fermented on the skins with wild yeasts, borrowing a red-wine technique to pull a little tannin and body out of a white grape. It's the house-pour end of the genre — textured and savory rather than wild — and it costs a good deal less than the orange wines people talk about more.","brand":"Regal Wine Co.
