{"product_id":"giuseppe-mascarello-barolo-monprivato-2007","title":"Giuseppe Mascarello, Barolo Monprivato, 2007","description":"Monprivato is the vineyard that made Giuseppe Mascarello's name, and this 2007 is a chance to drink it with nearly two decades of age. The site is a mid-slope parcel of about six hectares in Castiglione Falletto that shows up in land registry records as far back as 1666. It sits at 280 metres, with Bricco Boschis sheltering it to the north and Bricco Rocche to the south, and its vines grow in Miocene clay-silt marl that's high in active limestone. Maurizio Mascarello bought his first 3.11 hectares there in 1904. Mauro Mascarello, who took over in 1967, made the first Monprivato bottling in 1970. Mauro is often called an \"enlightened traditionalist.\" The cellar has no roto-fermenters and no new French oak, and the wine ages in Slavonian oak casks his father bought in the 1950s. Barolo made with that little interest in fashion is exactly the kind you want to try with some age. Serve it at about 18°C, which is the producer's own advice.","brand":"Private","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50524977266745,"sku":"NYC-[CNSN]-TTSUMMER0826-092226-133-14","price":239.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/Giuseppe-Mascarello-Barolo-Monprivato-2007-Red-Wine-Flatiron-Wines-Spirits-New-York_c911848c.jpg?v=1790154535","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/giuseppe-mascarello-barolo-monprivato-2007","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
