That's the Mascarello signature: while other estates raise Freisa in steel for pure freshness, here it gets nearly a year in ancient wood, giving it more depth and grip. Freisa is a rare, slightly wild Piedmont grape related to Nebbiolo, and this one rewards the curious. This 2009 is a back-vintage now showing real maturity.
