{"product_id":"hofgut-falkenstein-riesling-spatlese-ap-6-klaus-2024","title":"Hofgut Falkenstein, Riesling Spatlese AP #6 Klaus, 2024","description":"This is Riesling Spätlese from a single cask. At Hofgut Falkenstein the AP number on the label identifies the individual Fuder the wine was made in, and Erich and Johannes Weber like to bottle each cask on its own, so you can taste one cask against another from the same hillside. AP #6, \"Klaus,\" comes from the Krettnacher Euchariusberg, a steep slate slope in the Saar, the Mosel tributary where Riesling is at its most taut. Erich bought his piece of it in 1979. His neighbours preferred the flatter valley floor that machine harvesters could reach, so steep slopes were easy to buy, and that turned out to be a very good deal. The Webers make their Euchariusberg Spätlese with native-yeast fermentation and age it in old-fashioned oak Fuder. They also still label their wines with the traditional Prädikat names, which most producers have dropped. For years you could only buy these wines straight from the estate, so a single-cask bottling like this is a real chance to see how closely this family works.","brand":"Private","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51021216645177,"sku":"NYC-[PVT]-SRSN10261026-103026-43-1","price":59.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/Hofgut-Falkenstein-Riesling-Spatlese-AP-6-Klaus-2024-White-Wine-Flatiron-Wines-Spirits-New-York.jpg?v=1793437447","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/hofgut-falkenstein-riesling-spatlese-ap-6-klaus-2024","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
