Founded in 2000, the project brings Burgundian sensibility to Napa fruit, working exclusively from Hyde Vineyard sources. Belle Cousine — named in Pamela's honor — is HdV's flagship red, a Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the eastern edge of Carneros. The 2005 vintage was cool and slow-paced, giving the wine pronounced acidity and gradual flavor development.
