The domaine's Fleurie sites sit on softer, lower slopes with deeper sandy soils, which is why these bottlings lean aromatic and elegant rather than brawny — though Dutraive being Dutraive, there's still plush fruit and real tannin under the perfume. The farming and cellar work here is what Jean-Louis calls \"low intervention, high surveillance\": hand harvest, fruit into tank cold for carbonic maceration without sulfur, native yeasts, élevage in used Burgundy barrels.
