Professional Reviews

Robert Parker

RP 93
"The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Boudriotte has turned out especially well, offering up aromas of pear, sweet citrus fruit, white flowers and hazelnuts, followed by a medium-bodied, satiny and suave palate that's pure and precise, concluding with a long, elegantly mordant finish."

What importer Bowler Wine has to say about this wine...

From a .16 hectare parcel planted in the mid-1970's. It has a deep clay top soil that is ploughed to push the roots to go down to limestone subsoil. Native yeast fermentation in stainless steel. Aged in French oak barrels for 24 months (approximately 15% new). 30-45 g/L sulfur added at bottling.

Focus On: Burgundy

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
