Jo Landron is a pioneer in the Muscadet region, known for his commitment to producing wines that highlight the unique terroir of the Sèvre et Maine appellation. The 'Le Fief du Breuil' 2018 is an exceptional example of his work, crafted using traditional methods, including extended lees aging that adds depth and texture to this classic Muscadet.

The 2018 vintage opens with fresh citrus aromas—lemon and lime—combined with crisp green apple and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is vibrant and refreshing, with a finely honed acidity that provides structure. The wine’s extended time on the lees adds a creamy texture and layers of complexity, while the mineral-driven finish ensures a long, savory aftertaste.

This Muscadet is an ideal match for oysters, seafood platters, or a light goat cheese salad. Its combination of freshness, richness, and minerality makes it a versatile choice for seafood lovers and a perfect companion to a variety of fresh, coastal dishes.

Professional Reviews

Robert Parker

RP 90
"Matured 36 months in underground concrete tanks, the 2018 Le Fief du Breuil, crafted from vines planted on orthogneiss and quartz soils, evokes aromas of pastry, exotic fruits, ripe pear, herbs and smoke. Medium-bodied, round and fleshy, it’s tense with bright acids that are animated by a delicate, racy bitter finish and iodine, maritime aftertaste."
